Scrapped FredBear is an antagonist in Fredbear's Fright.
Scrapped FredBear is an almost bare animatronic endoskeleton, only wearing an head taken from another suit. The head is reminiscent of Golden Freddy from the mainline FNaF games, being a yellow-toned golden bear head with a purple boxtie and hat. It has five fingers on each hand, which would indicate that the endoskeleton was intended to be used as a Springlock suit, but has only three toes on each foot.
Scrapped FredBear first appears in Night 3 and can be seen roaming around the building on multiple cameras. It is not aggressive at this point, instead it will call the phone in the player's Office and give a randomly generated code. The player then has a short period of time to input this code into the keypad on the right side of the office by the right vent, which will reset Scrapped FredBear and prevent it from attacking. Failing to do this in time will cause Scrapped FredBear to enter the office and jumpscare the player, resulting in a game over. It is not deterred by closing the door or vent into the office. Scrapped FredBear is also active at the beginning of Night 4, however because all animatronics disappear after 1 AM it is rare for it to have a chance to call the office before this happens.
Scrapped FredBear is one of the potentially active animatronics during Custom Night, which is unlocked from the extras menu after beating Night 5. The player is able to set the difficulty of it's AI with 20 being the hardest and 0 being completely deactivated. It's mechanics are unchanged from the main game, however setting his difficulty to higher levels results in Scrapped FredBear calling the office more frequently, reduces the window of time to enter the code, and increases the chance of the code being four or more digits in length.
- Scrapped FredBear's head looks strikingly familiar to Golden Freddy's head, however his top hat is a glossy purple, whereas Golden Freddy sports a black top hat in the official games.
- Since Scrapped FredBear's body is the same as Prototype's but with a different head, it has been rumored that Prototype and Scrapped FredBear are the same character, just wearing different heads. This is currently unconfirmed.
- The jumpscare for Scrapped FredBear's jumpscare flickers and glitches, hinting on the idea that Scrapped Fredbear is a hallucination.
- Phone Guy indicates during the Night 3 phone call that Scrapped FredBear may reside in CAM 2A, however it can not been seen on the camera at any time.
